A No Fast Food Challenge!

Geez, I waste so much money on fast food. It ridiculous. Since I am pregnant, my bad habit has gotten much worse. This sucks because it's not healthy for me or my baby. Also I could be spending the money on many other things.

With that being said, I am going on a No Fast Food Challenge. It's only going to be for 11 days. This will be so hard for me. I'm a mom and wife on the go, and it's just so easy to grab food from a restaurant.

For 11 days:

No restaurant or fast food
I will only eat food from home
I will journal everything down just so that I can stay motivated

My reasons for doing this:

I need to get back to a healthy lifestyle.
I want my baby to be healthy.
I want to feel and look great.
I want to be a more responsible.
I need more self control

Mankofit Challenge

So, I have decided to do the Mankofit challenge. Of course I can't do everything because I'm like 12 week preggo. So instead of the cardio she does, I'll do a prenatal cardio YouTube or something. And of course there are certain exercises I just have to X out completely. Today was the first day I actually did the workout. You can check out the challenge here. I am doing the challenge not to lose weight, but to have a healthy and successful pregnancy. When I first found out that I was pregnant, I began to eat so much crap. I also felt so bad. So, I am getting my life back on track for baby and me. As you can see, I have went strawberry crazy!

Getting Back On Track!

This week I started student teaching, and my healthy life has just fallen apart! No excuses! So, it's time to get back on track. I was doing so well, and I was starting to lift heavy weights. My journey this time won't be as intense because of other things, but I have to do something. So I'm challenging myself to eat right and work out for Valentines Day. It may seem like a silly idea, but short and long term goals is what keeps us moving. I got the idea from the Tone It Up website. No, I don't have a membership with them. Struggling student, mom, and wife. I AINT GO TIME FOR THAT! But, there workouts are free and really cute!! I also am doing the 30 Day Catching Fire Bodyrock Challenge. I must stick to my challenges for the most part. I'll probably switch things up a little.

I've Got Goal!!!
Me Bodyrocking. The most intense 12min ever!!!

Eating Death

I just had to put this on my blog. So many people are sick, and they don't realize that it is what they are eating that is making them sick. Our bodies are made to heal itself, but we must give it what it needs to do so. Hot dogs are very affordable, and that is because they are full of crappy cheap scraps. We must do better.

Flour-less Mini Pancakes

These pancakes are so yummy, and they could be paired with fruit or toppings of your choice. I normally make a big batch for the week. Because they are so small, I'm able to eat them on the go. Someone bought me a Pie Pop Maker for Christmas, and that is why I am able to get such perfect round pancakes.

1/2 Banana
2 eggs
2 tbsp Flax seeds
1 packet of Stevia
1/2 cup whole oats
1 1/2 tbsp of peanut butter

Nutrition without oil
Servings 5, Calories 120, Carbs 14, Sugar 9,

  1. Blend ingredients until mixture is completely blended
  2. Cook in a non stick pan with oil if needed

KALE!

I really like Kale. When you sauté it, it has a unique taste that is awesome. You can eat it raw or you can cook it. I have mine mixed here with sweet potatoes. Kale is full of iron, vitamin K and C, is anti-inflammatory, and it has Calcium. These little leaves pack power! I even throw them in my smoothies. I prefer Baby Kale. This little leaf and many other green veggies should be bought organic when possible. It's apart of the dirty dozen. I will talk about that in another post. But this Kale, is the bomb! Bon appetite!
